Infants develop extremely fast and we strive to support them in every way possible by providing them with a safe nurturing and loving environment where they can explore and grow their knowledge about the world around them.
Our teachers spend time individually with each child supporting their developmental needs as well as daily care routines. We believe that the infant room is the very first start to building a child’s love of learning. Our teachers provide them with daily love, individual attention, support in their academic growth, and the knowledge of God’s presence and support surrounding them.
God tells us in many scriptures throughout the bible that children are blessings and a gift. Here at Count Your Blessings Preschool we fully understand the gift they are: their love, laughter, and joy is something special to hold onto and support. We provide an educational environment where children can let their spirits shine bright and learn many new skills.
In our two-year-old classroom, we focus on developing many new skills for our children. Our teachers understand that language development at a young age plays a significant impact on their grade-level reading for years to come. We must teach children a vast array of new words and grow their vocabulary to support them in their academic success, as well as give them the ability to socialize with their peers and adults.
Our two-year-old classroom environment is set up in centers to allow the children the opportunity to explore, develop and grow throughout the day. Our children enjoy playing in blocks, dramatic play, books, gross-motor, fine motor, and art centers with their peers and teachers.
Proverbs 22:6 states, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Our educators provide a weekly lesson plan to help teach children in this classroom to meet their developmental milestones and also guide them along their spiritual journeys.
Children are constantly learning through everyday experiences and they are constructing their knowledge and understanding of the world. It is important to be conscious of the whole learning environment such as time, utilizing classroom space (learning centers), resources, and ideas.
At this age, children are learning to be an individual, as well as, attaining social skills to be a successful part of a group setting. Our classroom environment is set up to allow children a chance for hands-on experiences exploring new math skills, writing, art, building, language development, and their independence.
New Mexico PreK is a free and voluntary program funded by the state of New Mexico for every child to have an opportunity to participate in a high-quality early childhood educational program before starting kindergarten.
Here at Count Your Blessings Preschool we want to make your child’s kindergarten transition as smooth as possible. We provide developmentally appropriate activities while focusing on your child’s school readiness. Our teachers will provide your child with many learning opportunities while supporting their educational growth and success. Your child will enjoy science, art, music, reading, language development, early math, social skills, learn independence, outdoor play, and even more with us every day.

School-age children have a new set of external stresses and pressures in today’s world, we want to ensure they have a safe place to decompress and stay grounded in a faithful foundation. Our school-age program provides a space for children to socialize, complete their homework and explore new materials in a fun and engaging way.
Children at this age need to be able to have independent time, as well as an opportunity to interact with their peers. Our daily schedules create a balance between active and quiet times and self-directed and teacher-directed activities resulting in a well-rounded day supporting each child’s mental health and growth.
Jump Start for children ready to enter kindergarten (must be turning five by September 1). Free program. Six weeks during the course of the summer. Every week the teacher plans a theme to follow. We have cooking projects, science experiments, gardening, petting zoo, and other in-house field trips. This session may include many field trips to external destinations such as the Aquarium, Museum of Natural History, Wildlife West Zoo, local farms and more.

Working with children can be difficult, but working with Count Your Blessings facility is fantastic; you are always supported by staff and parents as well. If teachers ever need anything such as supplies we are always taken care of by management; as far as teaching, we have the ability to do fun creative things to shape the young minds of children.
